Tampa child custody lawyer Gary Dolgin helped Melinda during her challenging divorce.
Melinda’s divorce was challenging because her ex-husband was not willing to negotiate on several issues and tried to discredit her with expert witnesses in court.
Having a child with autism and multiple sclerosis, Melinda had not worked outside of the home for over 6 years and had no source of income when she and her ex-husband separated.
Gary Dolgin helped Melinda get an emergency court order for alimony and child support during her divorce to help pay her bills and medical expenses for her child.
Through Gary’s expertise and knowledge during court proceedings, Gary was also able to defend Melinda against her ex-husband’s expert witnesses and helped Melinda gain sole custody of her two children.
Melinda is grateful to Gary for all the support and superior representation he provided her during her challenging divorce process.
In this video, Melinda shares what she has to say about Board Certified Expert in Marital and Family Law, Gary Dolgin representing her during her divorce and helping her with child custody, alimony, equitable distribution and child support.
Here is what divorce client Melinda has to say about Gary Dolgin and how he helped her:
“Hi my name is Melinda. I first met Gary back in May 2004 when I saw troubles in my marriage. He was very highly recommended to me by a friend of mine.
I didn’t know if I was going to be going through a divorce, but I needed some legal advice. Gary was available immediately and he laid everything out on the table for me. He told me my ‘what if‘s,’ ‘this should be this,’ and all the different options.
As a mother of two and not working in the field for probably about six or seven years, money was a big source for me. Gary helped me see that I was in survival mode, and that is where I needed to focus.
Gary drafted the papers and sought an emergency order for me. At this point everything was so emotional for me, that I really didn’t know where to start, what was going to happen, what to expect when I went to my first hearing.
I was blindsided by having experts come and testify against me. I was blown away that my former husband could do this to me, and that he was spending money on going against me rather than helping our children.
With Gary’s legal expertise, Gary was able to crush this expert witness and he made my former husband have no credibility whatsoever. I immediately was awarded temporary alimony and child support and I was able to turn on my utilities and be able to pay for my children’s medical expenses.
Gary was available for me any time that I needed. I felt that I needed a little hand-holding, and that is exactly what Gary provided me.
I learned that my former husband wanted to make sure that I received zero in our equity distribution.
Sadly my children were used as pawns. My daughter has autism and she also has multiple sclerosis.
Still today, Gary will periodically call me to check and see how I and my children are doing.
Gary has always made sure that my children’s best interests are first and are always a priority.
Certain things happened throughout the course of my divorce that I don’t want to talk about and there were times when I did not have financial means to pay for an attorney. Gary put that aside and focused on helping my children.
I was awarded sole custody of my children through the help of Gary.
I want to say to everybody, divorce is hard. It’s very traumatizing and it’s basically a crisis. You don’t only have yourself to think of, you have your children and your future ahead of you.
With Gary Dolgin, he made sure that every ‘i’ was dotted and every ‘t’ was crossed.
Years ahead, when my daughter was diagnosed with MS and things changed, he made sure that everything was laid out legally. He made sure that there was no stone unturned. He made sure that everything was just.
I thank Gary for helping me and my children.
So, if you are looking for an attorney, don’t just go off of ‘likes’ or what their fees are, because I learned if somebody is charging a little less, they must not have the experience.
I also want to say that not only does Gary have the expertise, the knowledge, and he is a compassionate, genuine, kind man who is also a father, so he understands.
He is also board certified and he will work with you on your fees. It’s not about money, which you will find out that a lot of attorneys will not take your case unless you have X amount of dollars to put ahead.
Gary truly cares about people. He has the humanity. He’s very ethical. There were so many times where I’ve said, ‘Hey, let’s do this instead,’ and Gary stopped me and he said, ‘No it’s going to be this way, we are going to do it the right way.’
Gary Dolgin does not always want his clients to go to court. I want to also let you know that Gary really tries to have the parties work it out, to compromise, to mediate.
He’s also a collaborative attorney. He wants to make sure that there’s an agreement that you guys can work out before going to court because Gary wants to cut costs down. He looks out for his clients. He’d rather have the money go for yourself or for your children rather than wasted on attorney fees.
So I highly recommend Gary Dolgin for your family law attorney, child support, alimony. No matter what your needs are I highly recommend Gary Dolgin.
